“… Marco Caiazza ci ha abituati già da alcuni anni ad ottimi lavori discografici, e questo nuovo CD è in linea con l'alta qualità delle registrazioni finora effettuate.

Effettivamente, le caratteristiche “poetiche” che contraddistinguono l'artista napoletano, a nostro avviso una grande ricerca sul suono e una raffinata espressività, trovano in Bach l’autore perfetto per Caiazza.

Apre il CD la luminosa esecuzione del Preludio della Suite BWV 996, sempre bravissimo Caiazza a dipanare le fitte trame contrappuntistiche bachiane in questo primo movimento. Nell'Allemande e Sarabanda, viene fuori invece la profondità e la ricerca timbrica dell’esecutore e restiamo rapiti dalle avvolgenti dinamiche che l’interprete riesce a tirar fuori da queste pagine straordinarie. L’esecuzione della Courante, Bourrée e Giga, non fanno altro che rimarcare la perfezione tecnica e il controllo del chitarrista. Anche l’esecuzione della Fuga BWV 1001 è resa in maniera impeccabile, niente ci sembra fuori posto, tutto è estremamente a fuoco e il controllo delle voci è davvero straordinario, tra l’altro abbiamo apprezzato l'ottima trascrizione di Caiazza, realizzata partendo versione per violino solo.

La Partita n. 2 BWV 1004 in Re minore chiude il CD, dopo le eccellenti esecuzioni dell’Allemanda, Corrente, Sarabanda e Giga, ascoltiamo la monumentale Ciaccona, eseguita con un controllo e un respiro degno dei grandi interpreti e sugello finale a un CD davvero profondo e affascinante.

In definitiva un lavoro assolutamente da ascoltare e riascoltare!”

“… Marco Caiazza has already got us used to excellent record works for some years now, and this new CD is in line with the high quality of his previous works.

Actually, the “poetical” peculiarities distinguishing the Neapolitan artist, in our opinion a great research work on tone quality and a refined expressiveness, make Bach the perfect composer for Caiazza.

The CD begins with the bright performance of the Prelude of the Suite BWV 996. Caiazza is always extremely able to unravel the thick Bach counterpoint textures in this first movement. In the Allemande and Sarabande we find the depth and the timbre research of the performer.

We are enraptured by surrounding dynamics that the performer draws out from these extraordinary pages. Also the performance of the Fugue BWV 1001 is faultless, nothing is out of place, everything is in focus and the control of the voices is really extraordinary. Moreover, we have appreciated the excellent transcription by Caiazza, made starting from the version for solo violin.

The Partita No. 2 BWV 1004 in D minor closes the CD. After the excellent performances of the Allemande, Courante, Sarabande and Gigue, we listen to the monumental Chaconne, played with a control and breath typical of the great performers and closing seal of a profound and fascinating CD.

Ultimately, a work to be listened to and listened to again!”
